On the cusp of May 29, 2008

Hey! Over here! Still here, y’all. I went to the doctor this morning. The appointment was at nine thirty, but I didn’t get back there until eleven!! I did meet some interesting people, including one woman with hair just like Elvira’s. The doctor was very kind and understanding. She arranged it for me to have a week off from work and put me on a list for the wound care specialists who will be there soon. Lowes wasn’t too thrilled with me being off, but they can’t go against a doctor’s orders. If you could only have seen my leg a few days ago….anyway.

Scooby is a predator. You wouldn’t think it from this dog, but today he killed a fat and juicy rat AND a squirrel. Hmmm..we could save a fortune in dog food!

Since it’s after midnight, it’s now technically Melissa’s 30th birthday. I took her out today. Whew. We went to the Walmart! I bought her a few unmentionables (underwear!!) and a few other things for her birthday. I even bought her a little cake. We took it back to her house. Guess what. Michael has lost his ever-lovin mind. I mean this in a good way. He actually turned on the air conditioner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was all set to go out on the boat with Jason, his niece Tessa, his uncle Royce, and Mav until Jason’s stepfather and the uncle started creeping me out. The uncle just kept on staring at me in this really creepy way and the stepfather…he was acting weird in the house. He kept on hollering at his wife. I found out he had a seizure the night before, but he was really out of it today. When I told Mav I wasn’t going, I got in the truck. Beau, Jason’s stepfather, got in the truck with me. He said he needed a ride to the drugstore and since I was going that way anyway, would I give him a ride? Sure, why not? That’s when he called Mav to the window and then got on me. I can’t begin to talk about the weirdness and the feeling to take a shower afterwards. Either way, I don’t think I’m going to go over there when I know he’s there. By the way, I didn’t take him anywhere.

Mav and Jason are now watching “Strange Wilderness.” They also got “Untraceable.” I can’t watch that one. I know how gory and disgusting it is.
