Meanwhile at Walmart…

Before Melissa left today, we had our pictures taken by Norma so Melissa could take something to Mamaw. Then we boot-scooted on down to the Walmart so we could have them developed. We each bought some groceries and a few other things. I am now contractually bound to buy Mav some speakers next week, but I really and truthfully don’t mind. They come with a dvd player which he needs since the old one pretty much died. I think he’s had it for quite some time. After all, it did have a vcr on it as well.

We wound up staying with Melissa a little longer than we thought we would. It turns out there was a really really really bad wreck at the road beside the Feed Store.  Since we had shrimp and crab meat, we had to go back to her house to use her refrigerator. That and Mav wanted to see the puppy again.

Okay, I’m outta here. I have to get up at 4:30 in the morning. I do have to say I’m disappointed that I won’t be able to talk with Scott for awhile, but I understand why he’s upset and doesn’t want to talk to anyone for awhile.  I wonder how George is feeling. I haven’t heard from him in awhile either. And Ligia. I wonder if she’s okay, too.  You know, we all have disappointments in life. I’ve had those near-misses in m life, too. But it’s not over, ya know. This isn’t a reason to give up.
