Damn, that was harsh!

I’ve calmed down a bit since the last post. Mav and I went for a midnight ride on the four-wheeler around the neighborhood. Scooby even managed to keep up with us for a long time. That dog was running at about 20 mph and displaying a great bit of endurance. Anyway, what I said about Melissa was just me venting some frustration. She seems like she wants to help us out. I mean, she does help clean the house and also used her food stamps when she had them to buy groceries. I know she’s going through a lot, but ya know, I can’t wait until the day I’m not the only person working. Mav has finally heard from his job coach. This lady comes from VOA, the same place Clay was assisted by years ago.
I uploaded the pictures from our trip on Myspace. I was going to put them on Flickr, but nah. That takes a long time. Heck, it took me nearly two hours to get the ones I put on there up. I’m one of those stupid people who feels she has to put something funny or meaningful in the captions. Crazy, eh? Maybe later I’ll put in the details of our outing, but I’ve already told Bug and George about it. I guess I do this mainly for my own sake.
Today, Palmer took Melissa and Mav to Michael’s house to get her car. I was with Meemaw, Daisy, and Heidi while they were gone. When they returned, Melissa, Mav, and I bought gas (@ $3.63/gallon) and went to China Palace for lunch. We stopped by the Dollar General for much needed toilet paper. And that was about the extent of the day’s events. I am so happy I don’t have to be up so early in the morning for work. You just don’t know.
Primal SCREAM!!!!!!!!!! AAAaahhH!!!!
August 19, 2008
I WAS going to write a happy little post about my recent trip to the Bass Pro Shop, Loxley’s Burris Farmer’s Market, and Gulf Shores, but to hell with that! Melissa needs to GO NOW! She has been bitching, bitching, bitching about her car and I’m about ready to throw her the fuck out of here! I paid TWICE TWICE TWICE so her car wouldn’t be repossessed. Mav’s FATHER towed her car over here today and he didn’t have to. Also, a man in her church has taken up a collection so she could have her car fixed. SHE IS STILL BITCHING!!!!! All because it isn’t being done now. Also, she has it in her head that some dumb ass jerk she met online is the answer to her prayers. She has been talking to him a little over a week now and he has ALREADY promised to take care of her. Um, does this dumbass know what he’s in for? He sounds like a dumb dumbass already. Don’t EVER believe what people tell you online. AAaaaAAAAaahhhhHHHH!!!!
Whew. I feel better now. Sort of.
Busy, busy, busy!
August 14, 2008
Mav and I just got home. I had to visit Julio again today. I had to cut the bandage off last night because to be honest, the thing stunk really badly. It has been so hot and it has been getting wet as a result of me sweating to death outside. (Gotta love summer in Mobile, man.) It was nice to be able to fully be in the shower. No hokey pokey for me last night. When we got to the office, we had to wait about two hours. It was cool, though. We passed the time playing games and it got kinda “risque.” Julio was by himself and he was pretty cool throughout our visit. He gave me a form to fill out that would allow me to have a super expensive skin graft that will help me for nothing. Wait until you hear what it’s made from. You know when baby boys have circumcisions to remove the foreskins and have you ever wondered what was done with them? Well….yep. That’s what these things are made from. Ewwwwwwwwwww. Mav said his new nickname for me was “baby dick.” Julio told Mav not to stroke my leg or it will get aroused. I know. When you get two men together, the minds just seem to get deeper into the gutter, don’t they? Another thing, when we asked Julio how he was, he said he was “busy busy busy.” He got that from “Frosty the Snowman.” If you remember the magician. Anyway, thanks to him, Mav’s been saying that ALL NIGHT LONG! (Cue Lionel Ritchie.)
Mom just got out of the hospital. I’m not too happy with her right now because she thinks we love the puppy more than her. True, when Snoopy went missing we had a full out search for him. (I went so far as to go to Prichard to their pound to find him.) Mav and Melissa found him, but she’s convinced we don’t care about her. The doctor said the “stress” is going to kill her. I asked her jokingly if that means she’s going to move away from all of us. She said she just might. What do you do, ya know?
Melissa is getting closer to getting a job. She said when she gets her car fixed, she can get a job and start giving us money. After all, she is living rent-free and has full use of our utilities. I will say she has been cleaning and cooking for us. I’m just wondering if she’s going to be here forever.
We went to Ryan’s for lunch. Steak! Steak! Steak! They gave him two HUGE ones and they were actually good ones. Juicy and very tender. After there, we went to Lowes to give them my doctor’s note. It says that I need to be working inside as long as I’m wearing this sexy stylish una boot. (Yes! Air conditioning!) Then we went to Walmart across the road. We bought a few “female” essentials, something to hold our keys, air freshener for Lita, and a movie. Can’t leave the place without visiting the five dollar bin, ya know?
Happy birthday, Whitney Houston
August 10, 2008
Whew. What a Saturday! I found out yesterday, two babies were born at 8:08 on 8-08-08 and each weighed 8 lbs and 8 oz. What a weird coincidence! They were born exactly the moment the Olympics’ opening ceremonies began. Tonight was a hard one, but isn’t it always rough on Saturdays? I even lost my mind and went to Walmart, but we needed food. Also, Scooby racked up. I got him a flea collar and some dog treats. These should help with his breath. (The treats, not the flea collar. lol) I was sorely tempted to buy a squeaky toy that looks a whole heck of a lot like a real steak just so I could mess with Mav. Wouldn’t that be evil?
Mav is behind me singing Don Williams songs on his karaoke machine. Melissa is in the kitchen cooking supper. Gas is $3.69 in Satsuma. I saw one of my friends from Satsuma High School in Walmart. It’s so nice to actually have someone new, ya know? Don’t get me wrong. I love each of my closest friends very much. You know, the ones I can count on my left hand and still have a thumb left over. lol
Our cruise might be postponed. Mav’s grandfather Daddy Bill isn’t doing good at all. Since his wife Mama Margaret fell and had to be hospitalized, they are both going to be living with Linda and Palmer. That means there is going to be a seriously full house next door. In a way, I kinda like it. Mav shares his grandparents with me. In a way, I’m glad about the trip being pushed back. We haven’t been saving money like we should for it and also I doubt I’d be able to get the time off from work because they were talking about Thanksgiving.
Speaking of work, I found out the cleaning lady had been on vacation all last week. Management didn’t bother finding someone to take her spot while she was out. That means, the bathrooms and other areas hadn’t been cleaned in a week! Ewwww. Isn’t that nice to know?
Happy Triple 8!
August 9, 2008
“Bawoooooo.” That was the lonely sound coming from the front yard. Scooby was howling softly as the train passed. It was so heartbreaking that Maverick and I went in the front yard to console him. That dog was fine. He just wanted some company and he knows the way to get it.
We haven’t been home very long. Tonight was Mav’s ex-girlfriend Tracy’s birthday party. Yes, we went. It was held at San Miguel’s in Mobile. Picture Borat saying “it’s nice.” The place is beyond description it’s that good. A mariachi band and everything!(I wish I’d taken pictures of the sinks in the bathroom.) Tracy was nice, but I have to admit I held it all in when she kept going on and on and on and on and on and on and on about Mav being her ex. She kept on telling everyone he was HER ex and went so far as to sign the letter “X” for someone down the table! Oh, I was nice. I didn’t get upset, but ya know…. Well, we did have a good time. I got to watch the opening games of the Olympics while being serenaded by the band. They were singing “Macarena” and even doing the dance! lol There was a little boy who just seemed to be so fascinated with taking pictures of me. I’m really impressed because he was using a regular camera, which means he couldn’t just take them and erase them as you could with a digital camera. Tracy had a pinata for her birthday and the kids beat the living hell out of that poor little thing. Mav and I had steak taco salads each along with the customary chips and salsa. The cake was great! It was pink with green and pink polka dots. There was a green fondant ribbon topping off the buttercream icing.
I went to Big Lots today after I got off work. They already have Halloween stuff out! I found a sign that lights up and says “The with is in. Beware.” I think I’m going to buy that one. hehe Anyway, I found a really beautiful trinket box and bought that for Tracy. I managed to get out of there under twenty bucks. Yes, I was going to Walmart but that place was just waaaaay too busy for me. I sat in the parking lot at the crosswalk for what seemed an eternity waiting for people to cross the road in front of me. Those people take serious advantage of that pedestrian getting the right of way thing.
I found a few videos of the Journey/Heart/Cheap Trick show on Youtube. One person got amazingly close. You can clearly see the security guard standing in front of this person and yet nothing is done about it. Amazing.
There was an old version of Beauty and the Beast on today. It was French and made in 1946. I think it was the Ovation station running it. I want to catch it when and if it ever comes on again. It was a rather good version. The special effects were pretty damn good for that point in time.
I met a die-hard Snoopy fan today. She had on all kinds of Joe Cool stuff. I had to tell her about Mom’s dog of course. By the way, Mom’s talking about finding another home for the puppy. She said the dog catcher has been coming around and is afraid of Snoopy being taken. Heck, that was Rusty’s second home.
Well, that’s the day’s report. I work tomorrow, so I’m out for now. By the way, I’m still having SERIOUS problems with this Panda. I’ve tried all suggestions and this computer will not let me take it off.
This thing seems to run faster when I turn this evil application called “Panda” off. I haven’t figured out to take it off yet. I’ve been loving you too long. It started so easy. You’re one to carry on. Oh, sorry. Mav wants to practice the Air Supply on his karaoke machine and guess who his partner is. Anyhoo, Mav and I went to the doctor today. We actually left early and got there early. It didn’t matter. We still had to wait an hour. New people this time. After there, we went to Ryan’s. I figured Mav deserved a steak after having to deal with me today. We even got there early enough for the cheaper prices and still got in on the steaks. At one point we both got up to go to the bathroom. The waitress figured we left and cleared everything off the table. She was nice enough to give us more drinks and silverware. I guess we’re going to have to go to the bathroom in shifts from now on. lol When we got home Scooby got his. Melissa and Mav gave the dog a bath. I have pictures to prove it. I swear, he smelled like he’d been rolling in dead things.
Yesterday, we went to State Line, MS to see my dad and get some of my grandmother’s things he’d promised. We walked out with only pictures. Pictures. Pictures!! Talk about disappointment! The visit itself was okay. There weren’t any horrible confrontations as there were the time before. Dad put some gas in Lita and they both gave us tomatoes. We kept some of the tomatoes, but the rest went to Ms. Linda and Mom. Linda gave us a cooler full of two liter Cokes. I appreciate it, but um. I’m not supposed to drink Coke. I’ve heard regular drinks are better than the diet as they have aspartame.
Before I forget, Mav beat us both at Monopoly last night. It only took him three and a half hours, but by golly he owned everything except Water Works and the Electric Company. He had hotels on everything! lol He was so proud of his win that he took pictures. lol
Mav and I visited Snoopy and Mom yesterday. I took her the pictures and tomatoes. I found a picture of her, Michael, Mamaw, and Shirley, Melissa’s mom. This picture was taken in either late 1977 or early 1978. The reason I’m guessing this is because both Melissa and I were in there but not like you’d think. Both our moms were pregnant with us. The hairdos were amazing. Especially Michael’s since he had severely curly hair. Also, I found pictures of Mamaw’s surprise 70th birthday. There was a picture of a guy I had a MAJOR crush on. So what if he was seventeen and I was thirteen? Hell, that’s the age difference between me and Mav. Four years. But, sigh. I could keep you here all night (or have you running screaming to the hills) talking about Jason Holmes. I got a chance to talk to him again a few months back. The dude did NOT remember me at all. Well, that has been quite a few years ago. (Oh, say, eighteen.) Also, I found a picture of my mom and his mom Homer dressed up like hookers. I’ll have to get this picture and put it on here for all to see.
The Hooters!!!
August 2, 2008
I’m sitting here listening to the Pirate. That group the Hooters is on. You know the song. “And We Danced.” I think it’s about the only song they ever came out with. Anyway…waiting on Andrea. She’s supposed to be on her way. Chuck called. (This is a different Chuck, by the way.) I told him we might be going to the boats and he wanted to know if we might go to Beau Rivage. You know, where all the fine women are. I told him I didn’t swing that way. He said I might change my mind if I saw them. Yeah, Mav would love that. He’d love to watch that. Chuck said he would too. What the hell?
I forgot to mention we saw Jonah yesterday. He was in Saraland to see his dad and get a few things. Interesting visit. Remind me to tell you more later.
Melissa and Mav are STILL PLAYING Monopoly. I swear. That game goes on and on. Earlier today, Mav and Melissa helped me put the new bedskirt on the bed. I hadn’t realized how much damage that mattress has sustained until we moved it today. No, no no. It wasn’t anything like THAT. Well, maybe…heh heh.
I had a horrible dream last night. I dreamed I was in State Line and I was in my grandmother’s front yard. I saw Scooby hacked to pieces. WTF? There was more to the dream, but that one had me all messed up this morning. Mav came in and assured me Scooby was in one piece and was still a happy dog. By the way, Mav brought Heidi over to the house two nights ago. Now that is a dog with issues.
Wow. I found gas for $3.69!
August 1, 2008
“Mav! Mav! Maaaaaaaaavvvv!” Those cries for help echoed down the hallway this evening when I realized that I was in the bathroom and..dah dah daaaaah…I was out of toilet paper. Haven’t you ever been in that situation yourself? Well, Mav came to my rescue and I nearly ran him out of the room. (Too much, right?) At this very moment, my hero is putting in his new file cabinet. He said he would feel better about having his “movies” in the house when the kids come over. Sheesh.
I worked today from 6-9:30 am. One of the vendors needed to text message her boss but had no idea how to do it. Guess who did it for her. lol The reason I worked such a short shift was because of my leg. One of the head cashiers said she will see about me working inside until it cools off. If they could’ve only seen the bandage yesterday after Elizabeth took it off. Anyway, I went home, picked up Mav, and then we went to Burger Master. (Good food. The bathroom could use a little work, but still good food.) Then we drove across the street to the DMV. I had to get a new tag for Lita and today was the last day. There was an old man who kept on propositioning one of the workers for a lower number. We were number B63 and he was B84. I told the lady she wasn’t being paid enough. lol After giving the state of Alabama $105.25, we left for Toys R Us. There were some kids riding around on the scooters and were promptly kicked out by management. Temptation was all around, but we left with a Monopoly game. As we were leaving for home, we noticed Linens & Things was having a going-out-of-business sale. Yes, we stopped. We walked out with some Godiva chocolate and a really neat measuring spoon for Mav. (Yes, he bought a kitchen utensil.) Then we meandered into Staples where he fell in love with a filing cabinet that was only $40. I talked him into waiting until we got to Walmart to see if they had a cheaper one. And oh did they ever!! Yes, we got that, but you know what happened next. We also bought two pillows, some pillowcases, and a bedskirt. (All black!) When we got home, we noticed Lowes finally came through and put in the final blinds. YAY! Now Mav can walk around au naturel. I called my mom tonight and found out Melissa’s car is missing. I personally believe it was towed, but we won’t go into that. To be honest, I’m very ready for Melissa to get out of here. I love her but I just can’t take much more of her.
Andrea’s coming tomorrow! I don’t know what we will be doing, but I know karaoke will figure into it somehow. She told me her brother and his wife are expecting. Jamie and Stephanie have only been married since March. She said something about having a camouflage theme for the nursery. Ah, a hunting camp motif. lol Also, I think we’re making a trip to State Line next week. Dad wants me to come up and go through some of my grandmother’s belongings and see what I want.
I nearly forgot to tell you this. One of my coworkers jokingly said that Obama is the anti-Christ. She said it was “prophesy” that this person would be born in 1962 and stuff along those lines. Um. Yeah. Sure. Whatever. I will say don’t get my father started on it, though. Religion, that is. Sometimes it amazes me. The one person in the whole wide world who has the power to scare me is all of a sudden an expert on God and the Bible.
On a happier note…I saw some toy in Toys R Us with a scientist riding a train and I swear to you the thing looked just like George.
Another fun day
July 30, 2008
Let’s see. What did I do today? Went to the dollar store and bought some dog food, toys, and a puzzle for Mav. (No, the dog food wasn’t for Mav. It was for Snoopy. lol) Then off to the grocer store. I came home and there were two incredibly gorgeous young men in my front yard. They were there because there was a clogged drain that had something to do with the air conditioner. Water was seeping from the floorboards. They fixed it. Work was okay, even though I nearly had my left leg taken off by a pissed off employee with a barbecue grill. Everything’s cool now, but boy was I mad when I left tonight. Yeah, we had pizza because we went sixty days without any accidents. Also, Jason was at the house when I got home, minus his Russian girlfriend. I also stopped by the house on the way home to drop off some cat food and to visit with Snoopy and Mom for a bit. I’m off tomorrow. I have to go to the DMV and also to the doctor. See ya.
Fairies!
July 29, 2008
I have found a way to be a kid again, sort of. I was watching parts of “Peter Pan” on ABC the other night and saw a commercial about the new Tinkerbell movie. Now, to be honest, I’m not a Tink fan. However, there is a website promoting it and it’s so cool! I went to www.pixiehollow.com and was amazed. I have made my own fairy and already have made friends on there with other little girls. I’m not one of those weird people, I promise. I just thought it was pretty cool. Ya know?
